The Dinner in the Depot held June 6th was a success with 60 diners enjoying the 1902 Depot ambience and the fine food.
Thanks to the generous grant provided by the Tom E. Daily Foundation CHS will be able to repaint the 1927 Caboose and finish painting the 1902 Depot.
Stop and visit the CHS booth at Kraut Fest June 18th to 21st. There will be unique historical items on display. Can you guess what they were used for?
The Caledonia Historical Society will be holding monthly open houses at the Linwood Park Heritage Village. The buildings will be open the 4th Sunday of each month June through September from 1pm until 4pm. The dates are June 28th, July 26th, August 23rd and September 27th. Docents will be available in each building to provide information about the buildings.
The Caledonia Historical Society will be holding it’s next annual “Homecoming Celebration” September 12th and 13th. The theme this year is WWII, and there will be many new and exciting foods and activities. CHS will be honoring all Racine County Veterans at the Homecoming on September 12th. If you are a veteran or would like to enter a veteran that you know for recognition, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the veteran’s name, address, phone number, branch of service, dates served, and number of free admission tickets needed for the veteran and friends and family. The Caledonia Historical Society meets on the third Thursday of the month at 6:30 pm. Starting in May the meetings will be held in the Old Town Hall at the Linwood Park Heritage Village. Everyone is welcome.
