CHS MEETINGS AND OPEN HOUSES

The CHS meets the third Thursday of the month at 6:30 pm.  The CHS does not meet the months of December through March, but Board meetings are held on a regular basis.

The April, October, and November meetings are held at the Franksville Park Building, and the May through September meetings are held in the Botting Shed at the Caledonia Historical Village, 7330 5 Mile Rd.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SEPTEMBER 17TH MEETING WILL BE HELD AT 6:30 PM AT THE FRANKSVILLE BEER GARDEN, 9614 Northwestern Ave.  

Monthly open houses are held the third Sunday of the month May through October from Noon until 3 pm.  The buildings are open with docents available to answer questions.  Visit the 1877 Town Hall that has new informational displays.

2026 SPECIAL EVENTS

The October 18th Open House will include the special event of the planting of a Liberty Tree by the Sons of the American Revolution at 2 pm.

A New Horizon Elm will be planted.  The original Boston Liberty Tree was used starting in 1765 as a meeting place by the “Sons of Liberty.”  The tree at that time was 120 years old and provided a large canopy.

The Christmas Bake Sale will be held December 4th from 1 pm to 5 pm and December 5th from 9 am to 3 pm in the Town Hall at the Caledonia Historical Village.  Santa will be waiting to greet you.

The grounds of the Caledonia Historical Village are open from dawn to dusk.  If you use the grounds for your professional photography, please make a donation.  The CHV is owned and operated by the volunteers of the Caledonia Historical Society and is funded by donations, membership dues, and grants.  There are no governmental funds provided.
