WE NEED YOUR HELP TO RAISE THE BARN!

The Caledonia Historical Society has received a generous offer of a donation of $5,000 if CHS can raise $10,000 by 9/30/2016.  CHS needs these funds to be able to place the early 1900’s machine shed/barn on a permanent foundation.  Any donations would be appreciated.  The machine shed/barn will eventually be a community meeting and event location.  Have you been to the Caledonia Historical Park just east of Hwy 38 on 5 Mile Rd?  The Caledonia Historical Society has worked and is working quite hard to bring local history to life for the community.  The Caledonia Historical Park is owned and operated by the CHS volunteers, and CHS is a 501(c)3 non-profit, so all donations are tax deductible.

PUT THESE EVENTS ON YOUR CALENDAR

The Caledonia Historical Park provides docents with the historical buildings open to the public on the fourth Sunday of each month May through September.  The next open house is September 25th from 1 pm until 4pm.  The open houses are free to the public, but, of course, any and all donations are welcome.

IF YOU ORDERED A BRICK OR BRICKS FOR THE 1877 TOWN HALL PATHWAY,  come to the CHS Heritage Festival to find your brick.  All bricks should be up to date and in place by the weekend of September 10th and 11th.

An AARP Smart Driver Course will be held at the Caledonia Historical Park on Thursday, September 15th from Noon to 4 pm.  The cost is $15 for AARP members, $20 for non-members.  Call 262 681-1530 to register.

COME JOIN US!

THE BARN NEEDS YOUR HELP!

The Caledonia Historical Village is owned and operated and maintained by the Caledonia Historical Society.  CHS is a 501(c)3 non-profit, and all funds raised are used to maintain and enhance the Historical Village.  Currently CHS needs support, cash or in-kind support, to pour a foundation for our early 1900’s barn.  We have the beams, but need the cement and the rebar.  Eventually the barn will be used for storage and museum exhibits.  The long range plan is to use the barn as a meeting place with a commercial kitchen.

We have several items for sale to help pay the expenses of maintaining our historic village.   The items include mugs, note cards, the book, “Milwaukee Then and Now,” bricks for the walk way by the Town Hall, and posters of the 1902 Depot.  The form to request bricks is now on this website.
