March 17, 2022(1 event) – Did You Know About the TNT Plant in Caledonia? Join the Caledonia Historical Society on March 17th at 6:30 pm at the Caledonia/Mt. Pleasant Memorial Park, 9614 Highway K, Franksville to hear the story of how a TNT plant was partially built on 5 Mile Rd in Caledonia. Clarence Kaplan, a longtime member of the Caledonia Historical Society, will provide the history of the WWI TNT Plant as well as his family history. Clarence’s great-great grandparents settled in the area in 1871, and the Kaplan family has had a presence in the Caledonia area ever since. The public is invited to attend.
